If only Pandora had a little peephole or keyhole to check out the innards of that nasty ol’ box…think of the grief she could have saved us all. Well, in this class we are going to put things to right and create secret boxes or chests that can be previewed using keyholes and/or lenses. Not only that but we will illuminate the interior with lighting to make that secret space all the more revealing. On the exterior the chests will be adorned using found objects and the process of assemblage. On the interior students will create interesting realms to view, combing assemblage with collage. The best part is that we will be doing all of this stuff in Italy. And better still we’ll be hitting the flea markets in Florence, Italy to find goodies for our creations. Mama Mia! That’s a spicy meatball!
Enticing...yes?

Your art is truly remarkable! Would love to be in Italy with you but will have to wait and see when you make it back to the Southern California area. Hope you have a great year!
